the future is snail mail.
It’s a very exciting time to be alive. Everywhere I look, I see evidence of an emerging consciousness that is focused on unity, repair, and compassion. I know you see it too - that’s why you’re here.
Like me, you see the good in the world. You are an uplifter, a teacher, and you play an important role in leading the collective away from separation and isolation and towards unity and authentic connection.
When I first launched sensationery on Etsy in 2010, I sold hand-made greeting cards to assist in people’s ability to communicate with loved ones. People adored them, and they understood how to use them. Over the last decade, however, we’ve gotten away from writing our thoughts out by hand, from planning in advance for special occasions, and from expecting surprises to come our way via that tiny little box. We’re too busy - or, if we’re being honest, we’re too distracted.
But things are coming back around. Online engagement has left us craving the exact experiences that come from engaging in a regular paper correspondence practice. Privacy, personalization, mutual respect, and joyful anticipation. It’s all there for us. Everyone has access to the mail, but not everyone is interested in repairing the damage that’s fallen upon relationships due to our innocent but blind trust in online communication platforms. And all the while, the USPS is there. We just need a refresher on how to engage with it in a meaningful way.
That’s what I’m all about, and I know you get it. Today, sensationery is committed to teaching people how to reignite their passion for paper correspondence. It’s my mission to assist people’s growing desire to get back to the power of expression that comes with this emerging consciousness.
My mission is to encourage people to lean into their natural abilities as uplifters and celebrate themselvesa nd others using “snail mail”. To teach people how to use a very effective tool - that’s right there, that they have easy and virtually free access to - in order to put themselves in the driver’s seat of their relationships. Proactive (not pushy); empowered (not giving away our power); authentic (heart-driven). Let’s do this.
mail again. mail better.
